Dr. Brittny Silke was born and raised in Maine, learning early on what an active and healthy lifestyle can do for the human body. She is an avid fitness enthusiast with a history competing in collegiate athletics and in recreational and professional performance coaching. She now fills her time as a CrossFit Athlete, hiking, biking or walking her dogs.
Brittny is well aware of the rehabilitation and recovery process. She has sustained several injuries throughout her athletic career and discovered aptitude for developing rehab programs when she built her own to recover from ACL surgery in 2008, without formal physical therapy.
Brittny studied Human Performance and Exercise Physiology at the University of Central Florida and went on to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. Here she developed the skills needed so she could provide others the care she did not receive.
She has worked in outpatient orthopedics treating populations including high school, college and professional athletes. She also spent almost three years working at a premier inpatient rehabilitation center in the Boston Area, primarily treating those recovering from traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury and continues to support the community in volunteer organizations.
Brittny created BEFORM Performance Physical Therapy to provide elevated care and experience to those seeking physical therapy. She wanted to offer a service that helps you create long-term changes and lifestyle management to remove yourself from the status quo of healthcare today.
